Session-by-Session Breakdown:
1. Welcome to the Spotlight!
• Ice-breakers & theatre games
• Explore what theatre is
• Team-building warm-ups
• Mini showcase: “3-second theatre” (everyone creates a 3-second )
2. The Magic of Movement
• Body warm-ups and mirroring
• Explore physical narration without words
• walks & exaggerated emotions
3. Finding Our Voice
• Vocal warm-ups and projection games
• Tone, pitch, pace—play with vocal range
• Tongue twisters + volume control exercises
• Pair work: “Emotional Echo”
4. Characters Come Alive!
• Build characters from the inside out
• Practice walking, talking, and reacting like your character
5. Let’s Improvise
• “Yes, and…” improv rules
• Improv games (Bus Stop, Freeze, Props)
• Group theatre vocabulary(pass-the-story)
Begin to create short scenes in groups with improvised characters
6. Theatre Through the Senses
• Explore sensory-based acting (touch, sound, smell)
• Use objects to inspire stories
• Senses: react to imaginary environments
Focus on observation and creative thinking
7. Scene Work Begins
• Group selection of themes or story prompts
• Create short original scenes based on character work
• Blocking basics and use of space
Rehearse in small groups
Write the first lines of your group script
8. Design Our World!
• All about advertisement
Create your team’s scene sign or banner
Continue rehearsing scenes with added designs
9. Tech & Polish Day
• Basic stage directions, entrances/exits, and use of voice
• Run-through with feedback and positive notes
10. Wonder Within Festival!
Share group scenes in a joyful showcase
